I have a Dc230 Canon and I cannot seem to transfer video from my camcorder to the computer. I plugged in the usb cord but I still cannot open the file. They said something about MyDvd for Canon but I cannot find the software. What can I do?
How can I transfer video from camcorder to computer?

The Canon DC230 is a DVD based camcorder.
The easiest way to get the video from the camcorder’s DVD to your computer is to finalize the disc, take it out of the camcorder, put it in the drawer loaginf DVD drive connected to (or in) your computer and rip the video using a DVD ripper – like HandBrake.
If your computer has an optical drive that does only CDs or is a slot loading DVD drive, you need to get a drawer loading DVD drive. Externals work fine.
