Just had a thought, I wonder if this can be connected to a TV and use it as a HDD recorder TV shows. In a pinch that would be nice. Especially if going over a friends house to watch a program and they don’t have a HDD recorder. How cool would that be, bring this thing over, connect it, record the show, go back home and transfer the recording to a DVD.

Well I said “in a pinch” meaning an emergency or where someone does not have a recorder. It would NOT be cheaper to buy him or her a recorder. Sidenote: Are hard disk recorders 69 quid? Here in the U. S. they are now banned, one cannot buy them. But when they were for sale, they cost about 250 quid, like I paid for mine, a Panasonic DMR-EH75V (80 GB hard disk).

Congrats. That is super nice. I bought and returned a JVC unit with HDD, but I did not like it. Was about two years ago, for $700.Wow, so this is 100GB.I will have to look up the specs, I may be interested in this. I especially like the idea of being able to record on to SDHC cards. Wonder what is the capcity and how much video you can record on to an 8GB SDHC, for example. That would seem far better than recording to the hard disk and having to transfer.
