i picked the samsung un46b8000 because i read more good reviews than bad ones.but most importantly, i saw the set right next to the top sony bravia at best buy and pc richards stores.with 1080p material from bluray and PS3, the video looks smooth, rich and grainless. better than what i remember from seeing the same movie in the theater. with 720p or 480i sources like old DVD as well as SD tv broadcast, the sony bravia top line have an edge.hope this helps!
