Help – need a digital camcorder expert – I’m having audio problems?
Hello,
I have a JVC DV Digital Camcorder – I’ve had it for over a year – but have only opened it and used it in the last couple of weeks. All has been going well – until suddenly all of the new recordings I’m making have a distortion in the audio. This happens on a brand new tape as well. All settings are the same as they were previously when there was no problem.
I am working on a training video and need this fixed like 30 minutes ago, as I do not have time to send this off to get it repaired or even order head cleaning kit (unless of course that is my only option).
My question is, this camera has only been used in the past two weeks to record perhaps 7 or 8 hours of video, and I can’t see how the heads could be so dirty so quickly. What could possibly be causing this audio issue? Is there anything I can do to try to clean something without having to go buy something and go through a time consuming ordeal to fix this issue? I called JVC and they said to try a head cleaning kit and if that didn’t work to send it off for repair. I just don’t have time for all that.
Has anyone experienced this and/or know anything to do to try to fix this situation quickly?
Thanks – I am desperate for a quick solution.
Is there a way to make good audio recording with an HDD camcorder?
I would like to record music sessions on video.
I am wondering whether anyone knows a hard disk drive camera to which one could connect an external microphone. ??
Also could someone explain why everyone seems to prefer mini DV to HDD. It seems so much easier not to have to mess about with the tapes…
How do you capture video & audio properly from camcorder?
i have recently captured a video from my camcorder onto my PC, and the performance of the video is great, but the audio echos and loud noises are very sensitive. (bass is exaggerated) when i view the video on my camcorder, everything is fine, but when i view on computer, thats when audio problems start. I have all my wires hooked up properly, so i dont know whats wrong there…On some programs, i can hear noise (but very poor quality, as mentioned above) and on others it is automatically muted. Any ideas?
I converted my MOD File to AVI from my JVC Everio Camcorder but the video won’t play only the Audio would?

How can I convert video 8 camcorder tapes to DVD? Having trouble with Audio???
I am in the process of converting 8mm camcorder tapes onto my computer. I have an analog capture card in my computer. I am able to create a file on my computer of the transfer, however there is no audio. I have downloaded the latest audio driver and had no effect. This card in the computer has audio/video jacks as well as a cable hookup for TV viewing. When I use the program to view TV the sound works perfect. I’m using Windows Movie Maker. When i try to capture TV signal in Windows Movie Maker, same thing. It creates a file with no audio…. Anyone have experience with this program that can help me??????? The choice I get in Movie maker for audio is RealTech audio input, which is my only sound driver. Please help.
