I baught a JVC Hard disk camcorder . Now after 10 hours video recording I plug it in my PC I can see all the files (MOD Files) but when I made a DVD out of them . It did not play on my brand new Panasonic DVD player .There was a message that this DVD is not formated do you want to formet it and I choose YES then everything was Eraised from the DVD Please help me what to do

When i hook camcorder dock to pc and hit the one touch burn button on dock it saves hdd files to pc and burns dvd’s and then once istop burning dvd’s & close out software and unhook camcorder then i have decided to try to go back and make extra copies & pc just keeps saying no new files to transfer and will not make dvd’s anymore unless new camcorder files have been recorded if new camcorder files have been recorded it will transfer and burn to dvd only the new files so can somebody please help me? Thank You.

I have some footage of my wedding (2 videos). One was taken on a VHS-C camcorder and the other was taken on a Hi8. The friends that took these put them both on a big VHS tape. I am interested in *somehow* getting these video files onto my computer to edit them using Windows Movie Maker and later making a DVD with Sonic MyDVD that came with my computer.
My question is–would it work to purchase a DVD-Recorder and simply stream the video through it and put it on a DVD then use that DVD to import the video onto the computer or will a DVD recorder even produce a DVD that the video can be edited? I had several people suggest taking it to Wal Mart and they would put it on a DVD but I want to be able to edit it myself and also have something that in the future I can transfer VHS and other analog things to DVD… any suggestions? I’m also in the market to purchase a digital video camera and heard that some of them offer the capability of converting analog to digital… Any suggestions?

Hi. I bought a Sanyo vpc-wh1 xacti waterproof camera. It records onto a sdhc memory card in mp4 format. It came with Nero software which wont even open the video i took, it will only play the audio. It also says i need a blu-ray/hd plug-in and has a link to buy it from nero. Nero’s website has the latest version for around $70 but says the hd/blu-ray plug in is “no longer available.” I have been trying to figure out how i can upload my hd video and burn it to a dvd so i can watch it on my hd tv. I read about Roxio software, which got bad reviews, Pinnacle software which got bad reviews, and so i am really wanting some answers. What does everyone use that has these new hard drive camcorders? I dont just want to keep it on my computer with no back up and not be able to have it on a dvd. Why is this so hard?

My parents rented a JVC Everio G Hard Disk CamCorder.
It didn’t come with instructions.
They want me to figure out how to burn a DVD so they/we can watch it on a DVD player.
I’ve gotten the camera hooked up to the computer, and the software to do the burning is up and running, but it won’t recognize the disk I have in the drive….Do I need a certain type of DVD?
A DVD R is in it right now.

I don’t have i-movies 08 and the new JVC’s don’t seem compatible with MAC. Sony and Canon I don’t think are either.
All I want to do is take the HDD Video Camcorder out of the box, record my sons soccer games, events, ect. etc. plug the camcorder into my MAC, download the info onto my computer, pop a DVD-Disc in, record the info onto it, & send them out to family members . . . What is the best way to do this with the best camera out there, compatible with a MAC.
Will the 80GB PS3 play DVDs that I burn on my computer? They are movies shot with my JVC Everio camcorder?

Some of you sent in some suggestions but they were downloads. I need an actual devise as my mini-dvd’s are not permitted in my slot loader as they too small. They’re just mini dvd’s.
So with that in mind; what do I need to purchase?
