I have a Sony CCD-TRV14E Camcorder and I want to burn the videos onto DVDs. I’m unsure about what I need to buy to convert the (8mm) tapes, I was looking at some stuff from pinnacle but I’m unsure which one I need (Dazzle DVD Recorder, Pinnacle Studio MovieBox, Pinnacle Video Transfer) I’m really confused as to which I need.
What about the devices I mentioned?
Hey guys, I’m having a problem with my camcorder.
I have a Samsung SCL901 8mm camcorder, it has no USB or Firewire and it records with tapes. I need to transfer the video on my camcorder to my PC, but the only way I know how to do that is to buy an analog-to-digital converter. And the ones I have found online are like $70 and I’m looking to spend $20-$30. Also, it would be nice if I could go to a store and get one and not have to buy it online. So, if anyone knows where I could a CHEAP analog-to-digital converter (or anything that would help me in this situation) please let me know.
Thanks to anyone who answers.
I have an old Sony hand held analog camcorder with some old family videos (8mm tapes) that I would like to convert to a format which I can use on my PC. What type of cable do I need and where can I find it? What program would I need for the conversion? Thanks in advance!
I am looking for something to make movies from 8mm camcorder and VHS tapes. I have video-Oh and it has SHOWBIZ editing software but it crashes all the time and has all kinds of problems. It is very easy to use though but I think the problem lies with the capture of the analog media. I will someday get a digital camcorder but I have a lot of old stuff I want to convert and make into DVDs.
I have a Sony camcorder with mini DVD media. I created multiple mini DVD’s for a single event and now I want to create a single normal DVD after chopping off some of the unwanted scenes.
What is the best way to achieve it? The bundled Sony software is very very user-unfriendly.
I no longer have the camera and want to transfer my 8mm tapes to a dvd. How can I do that for a reasonable price?
I have heard of converters to convert old vhs tapes onto your computer. I have some old vhs tapes and a camcorder that recorders on i belive 8mm or hi-8 tapes and i would like to find an inexpensive converter to put these memories on dvd and my computer it would be a nice gift for my parents. My camcorder a model from early 2000’s is not capable of connecting to a pc. If there is someone who would be able to point me in the right direction there would be much apreciation. Thanks
I have a simple movie project, and would like to use windows movie maker to edit it. I need to get video footage off the camcorder, or tape onto my computer first though.

I have a JVC GZ-MG37u Everio. It is a harddrive and its full. I need to get the videos from my camcorder onto a dvd that will work in any dvd player. Is it as easy as hoooking it up to my dvd player and recording onto a blank dvd-r?
Ive got these old 8mm video cassettes that I’d like to convert to a digital format. Does anyone know of an inexpensive device that would do this? I no longer have the camera so I might just have to buy an old 8mm camcorder with a digital output, but if anyone has any better options, I’d love to know what they are. Thanks!
