I was going to buy a HDR- FX7 but than i realized that you need to constantly buy cassettes so I want one that allows you to save it to a memory stick.

I’m totally senseless when it comes to electronics or computers or anything technical. So my question is when I’ve filmed all the 60 minutes available, what do I do with that??? Where can I store it so that I can delete and film some more?? And HOW do I do it??

the pictures are really grainy and the video isn’t clear.

I downloaded them onto my Mac and can’t view the movies on my computer. I was told I need to convert them to something, not sure what or what type of converter, hopefully a free one.

But I lost the program, Imagemixer, that came with it. Now I need to upload my computer, but no program I’ve found supports it. Anyone know a program that will let me upload from the camcorders hard drive to my computer in a readable movie format?
It’s not the DVD or DVD player. It’s a combo so I can record to harddrive too. I want to upload from the hard drive to my computer.

Is there a good software i can transfer the files to DVD or BlueRay. I have the software that came with it but its very weak.. Keep in mind its HD

its uses flash memory. I have a card reader attached to my computer.
I would have to pay as much for the sony software as i did for the camera… I dont think so.

its connected via usb and i dont know how to get imovie to recognize it as a camcorder

that records directly on to a DVD. No messy wires etc. Is this a good purchase or should I have gone with the digital one? I am only going to use it for home videos, nothing fancy.
Camcorders: Why are some advertised as 1080p and others just 1080?

First of all, I know the difference between 1080i and 1080p, but my question is, does it matter from a recording perspective?
I’m looking into a new camcorder and want to know why some manufacturers (like Sony for example) advertise their camcorders as recording in 1920 x 1080. And others like Panasonic specifically say 1080p recording. Both say “Full HD” on the box.
So does 1080p only refer to how it’s presented? Or is the Sony actually just recording in 1080i? I would think that Sony would specifically use 1080p as an advertising bonus if their cameras really did record in this manner, or if 1080p mattered at all from the recording perspective.
I just bought a Hitachi-DVD Camcorder. Does any one have one of these who can tell me how they like it?

I got this thing for Christmas and after following all the directions to a tee, this thing takes the worst pictures ever! I am so frustrated. No matter how close or how far away I am from something, all the pictures are very grainy. If I take a pic of something across the room, it is completely blurry? Does anyone have any suggestions or am I stuck with a crappy camera?
