I would like to record musicians / bands and create videos but do not have a large budget to draw from. Is there a consumer line camcorder that provides better quality and features for downloading video to a computer for editing without breaking the bank? Thanks for your help.
I’m going to a concert, I want to take some pictures
I need a camera that is:

Can you help me out?
I’m a music artist and I’d like to record my performances and upload them on YouTube and make low budget music videos as well. What would be a decent camcorder with good sound and picture quality between $75 – $150 ?

With the invention of optical storage device DVD, this need has been fulfilled. But then people started demanding such a device by which they can able to store all their important data and files into a DVD disc. That’s when the DVD recording machines came to the market, one of which is known as the DVD recorder. A DVD recorder is basically an electronic device by which data can be recorded onto a blank writeable DVD disc. These devices work by ‘burning/etching’ via a laser beam. These machines almost resemble and function like a VCR machine.
By using these devices one will get lots of advantages than the DVD Writers that uses with Computers and Laptops. The primary advantage is getting a better audio and video quality after recording on the disk. The next advantage one will get that the user do not need to rewind the songs or videos and these devices accesses the particular part of the recording very quickly. Apart from that, the user will get the option to make the disc ‘copywriter protected’ by which the important information written on the disc will be absolutely safe. Finally, these devices are capable to write discs on a better writing speed, that is usually 21 mega bites per second.
These recording devices are capable to record from any analogue video source, these include digital camcorders and live TV running on computer. These are basically three type of DVD recorder are available in the market. These are standalone DVD recorder, DVD Recorder/VCR Combo and DVD Recorder/Hard Drive Combo. The DVD Writers are not capable to read computer files like a DVD Writer of computer. But by having a DVD recorder one can have the advantage of record video and audio through a computer. Though the standalone recorders are not technically equipped to directly connect with the PCs.
By using these recording machines one will be able to copy any videos from TV shows, Laser-discs, home-made camcorder videos or any non-copy-protected video material. As it has a built in tuner for recording TV programs directly recording live television program is not at all a factor. The tuner is programmed to record a series of program on different days and times, much like a VCR. After go through the above discussion one thing is very clear about the dvd recorders is, these devices are the ideal one for these people who wants to keep their music, video and data files into high quality format.
This summer I’m going to be making videos for YouTube, but I need a camcorder. I’m pretty sure I need a hard drive camcorder, and I’m hopeing for it to be in the under $300 range. I don’t need anything fancy, I just need it to get the job done.
It needs to be able to work with the Windows MediaMaker thingy.
Also, if I get the camera, what else will I need? A memory card, USB cable?
