i am between the sony bloggie mhs-pm5k or the flip ultra hd. i was also thinking about jvc piscio gc-fm1. which one you think is the best? do you have any other suggestions? also i would prefer a camera which would be able to support somekind of flashlight or something for recording in the dark. i am not sure if any of those three have this feature. i dont mind about the price i just want it to be small enough, record hd and have nice clear picture.

I’m totally senseless when it comes to electronics or computers or anything technical. So my question is when I’ve filmed all the 60 minutes available, what do I do with that??? Where can I store it so that I can delete and film some more?? And HOW do I do it??

why do film maker use bulky and heavy HDV like example:Sony’s Pro HDV Camcorders it records at 1080p and it cost around $4,000 and while HD camcorder which are much more portable and 10x smaller and recorders at 1080p also and cost only $1000

Hey guys, I’m an aspiring filmaker who wants a camera that will shoot in good quality (for youtube) and will suit my short film needs. Is this the right camera?
Also, what type of files does this camera shoot in? I mean like .mov .jpeg .gif ect… because i bought a camera that only shot in .mov which is incompatible with windows movie maker, sony vegas, and adobe programs.

Ok, Im trying to choose between 2 different camcorders but as this is my first time purchasing one I dont know much about them.
The first choice is a 12 mp HD pocketsized Cobra camcorder; it says it has 1280 x 720 (720p) resolution at 30 fps but only 8 digital zoom.
The second choice is a Sony handcam that well… has no real information other than the fact is has 60x optical zoom and 2000x digital zoom. Its about 3 times the price as the first one however and would normally make people think (oh, the higher the better right?) well through my experience I know thats not true so thats why Im asking everyone.
If you cant tell me exactly which I should go with then please share with me what you usually look for when buying a camcorder?
A side note: This camera will be used for my labels music videos. So I need something that wont be blurry and all that. Its ESSENTIAL that this camera be as close to the average joe that you can get.

am after buying a camcorder today,does it matter about the high definition and the Digital still,do they make the picture more clear and perfect.there is loads of camcorders in the catalog with a line through where it says high definition and digital still and only a few with like 1080 and 720 high definition and 5mp digital still but just don’t no if it really matters about having that.

Using the same USB cable that came with my digital camera, I’m trying to capture video from my Sony Hi8 camcorder. I set the USB stream to on and I hear the indicator that the camcorder is connected. In both Pixela ImageMixer and Adobe Premiere, there is no acknowledgment that a connection is made. How can I capture the video to my computer? Is it the cable or is it the program I’m using?

Ok so the flip camcorder has the internal memory. so in order to get rid of that you have to upload it to your computer.
My question is that can you upload it to your computer, then save it onto a memory stick (jump drive) and then delete it from the computer. basically taking it from the flip and putting it on the memory stick??

High Definition camcorder question?

I am looking to buy an hd camcorder (possibly a Canon Vixia HF100). One of the main uses will be for recording entire baseball games (2+ hours). Can a flash memory camcorder record that long continuously?
Also, the TV and the camcorder will be the only HD things I have (I have a regular DVD player and I don’t know if I need a special computer to edit or burn hd dvds, I currently have a Dell Inspiron 530S)
Ideally I would like to put the flash card in my computer and burn a dvd, after editing. Will that be easy to do? I am not real techno saavy but can figure most things out if it isn’t too difficult.
Can most HD camcorders also record in SD if necessary?
